Workout for January 20th:
4 x 500m Row
Rest as needed, within reason.
We’re looking to update the leader board for the best 500m row times by height today! And then do our best to stay with it for the final three. You guys are getting pretty awesome at rowing as a team, which means that you’re able to tap into that deep dark place where there is no escape, and you can take yourself there on purpose. I do want you to recognize how warped this is, that quite literally the output you guys do today will quite literally hospitalize some people who are in poor poor shape.
Personally this brings me some measure of pride that I’ve worked myself away from sickness that far. Further I’m weird enough to think that taking in to the limit on a rower is actually kind of fun, even though your body screams NO NO NO and every part of your lungs hurts, and your thighs swell with the rush of blood to try and remove the byproducts of your self induced ass-kicking, my inner self smiles wide with appreciation that I have the choice, the will and power to smash myself. It’s weird, like I said. Can you dig it?!
