December 7th!! This is gonna be awesome you guys! I’m working on the entertainment/amusement which will be exciting and fun 🙂 Come dressed in ‘yer best cowboy get up for a hootenanny.
Hootenanny is an Appalachian colloquialism that was used in early twentieth century America as a placeholder name to refer to things whose names were forgotten or unknown. In this usage it was synonymous with thingamajig or whatchamacallit, as in “hand me that hootenanny.” Hootenanny was also an old country word for “party”. Nowadays the word most commonly refers to a folk-music party with an open mic, at which different performers are welcome to get up and play in front of an audience.
Yup, that’s us keepin’ it classy, Cletus 🙂
The gym will not have Friday night classes on December 7th, to allow us to set up for the hootenanny. Tickets are $20 per person, cash or check to Jesse in advance (helps us buy stuff) or at the door (helps us pay people back for stuff that’s been bought). Festivities will commence at 6:00pm. State of the Union Address with dinner around 7:30pm. Order of events subject to change 🙂 Stay tuned!
