WOD
The First RX'd
RX’d – The coveted "As Prescribed". It means doing the workout the exact way it was designed to be done. No "adjustments", alterations, considerations or modifications. This is a difficult thing and for all but our most elite athletes; being able to literally complete these workouts "RX’d" is a huge achievement in itself. Forget the time. Forget the rounds, the weight, the reps, the pounding headache afterwards, the fear (anticipation) before the workout, thinking to yourself "this warm-up is kinda hard, he know’s we’re working out after this right?" RX’d is tough.
Yay burpees!
Way to be dudes and ladies – I love tough workouts, RX’d.
The Big Climb for Leukemia
Yo!
This is an awesome event, so CrossFit it’s nuts! When: March 22nd Sunday. Cost: $37.50 unless you donate more. Time: as long as it takes you to climb the 69 flights of stairs up the Columbia Tower!!! We’ve got three (3) brave entrants already:
- Charles Neill
- Abi Grove
- Jesse Ward (Carrying Logan Ward on his back)
I need a volunteer who will pack Gage Ward on his/her back up the stairs.
We’re working on getting a team start time so that it can just be us in the stairs when it’s time to go, which’ll be pretty cool – but we’ve got to get enough people!!! Sign up www.llswa.org/site/TR/Events/BigClimb
Join the team "Lynnwood CrossFitters"
Clan Cheiftan Out.
Yay Overhead Squats!
Two exciting external events!!
Yeah! Here’s yet another chance to illustrate our near World Domination.
Jogo Gym (Bellingham) is hosting a CrossFit competition as a pre-championship warm-up – I think it’s a great idea to send a whole crew! At $25 it’s a steal 🙂
Second:
Superbowl Sunday Party with the Majestics at the J&M Cafe in Pioneer Square. Be there or be square!!
Your Seattle Majestics
I’m sure if you’ve ever come by on Saturdays around 11:30-1:30 but there’s about 30 hard asses out here gettin’ after it, and I know I don’t need to tell you that 2 hours of CrossFit is tough! The Seattle Majestics women’s tackle football team trains here – you know some of them. CC, Josie, Shoni, Jenn and Jazzy, are the most frequent throughout the week (team practices in Kent)
Gallemore – Owner/player: Filthy 50 time 26:35, Push Jerk Max 120, Military Press 88.
"Gretch": Tight End, Defensive End, yeah both ways. One of the only few ever to complete all 30 rounds of Chelsea in a phenomenal effort. Seen here in mid-burpee.
Josie: Center, heart-throb. Military Press 93, 500m Row Time 1:41.
Basically I’m stoked to be training the first all CrossFit football team (to my knowledge) and to be working with a group of tough women who want the strength and the results that CrossFit combined with immense effort yeilds. It’s great and I can’t wait to buy my season tickets!
Running Clinic Cancelled
The wear and tear from the years in the pool and basketball finally caught up to me! I have suffered a partial Labrum tear (Shoulder) and am unable to provide the type of clinic I had planned with a bummed wing. I will reschedule the clinic as soon as I can run again.
