Core to Extremity

Kipping! It’s been cool since primate times and if evolution is false, then the Good Lord saw fit to bless us with both gravity and the wonder of “Core to Extremity” movement patterns. Kipping helps us get places when hanging from things, make sure that your stomach is strong!!

Get Jacked!

Muscles, they help. Perhaps some training to develop your muscles may be beneficial… Does that mean you should bodybuild?!?! No, but a little maybe 🙂

Essential Home Gear

Besides a sock and Jump Rope? What do you have at home that helps you?

Weekends

Remember the snow days we had a month ago… Yikes!

What do you do on Weekends? Work? Lay around? Stretch and foam roll, ice your -itis and watch the CrossFit Journal? Spend time with family? Do you hang with people you take classes with? Go shootin’?

This weekend, Abi is teaching both days, working primarily on increasing your work capacity across broad time and modal domans, thereby producing fitness. Swing by, say hi and get a great training session in before you go do whatever else you were gonna do anyway!!

Results!

Kids and Fitness

Remember guys, put in your score into the intertoobs so I can validate it! Go to CrossFit.com find the games tab then login and put your score in!! If you want to redo the 7 min Burpee AMRAP, awesome. Sunday is going to be a big day!! We close around 10:30-11:00 on Sunday so come at 9:00am ready to rock!

How do you show your kids that it’s cool to be fit? Do you drag them on a sled in the snow? Do you challenge them to pull-up contests? Do you inform them that Spiderman does CrossFit and that his webs are refilled by eating meat?
